I've had 4 or 5 Sony digital cameras and they've been great. . When the screen broke on the latest model (all my fault), I was sure Sony had the right one. A quick google search found this model to be the best of 2018 and under $100 and I was sold. However, I was very disappointed when it arrived. To be honest, I don't care if it's an 8MP camera or a 20MP camera (I rarely zoom in on photos). What really interests me is how long it takes to capture a picture. I hate taking a picture and when the camera is in focus and the subjects (usually kids or animals) are out of focus they are already losing patience. This camera is too slow; There was a delay of about 3-4 seconds after each shot as the screen went blank. Most images are blurry. Changing the mode didn't help either. For those interested, I found this camera flimsy, my other Sony was lightweight but with a solid metal body. I might have a lemon, but I suspect Sony has gotten lazy with so few point-and-shoot cameras in use these days. So I'm sending this camera back, I haven't decided on a replacement yet, but it's not $80.
