Review on 🚽 Fluidmaster 242 Toilet Fill Valve Seal Replacement Part - Compatible with 400A Fill Valve, Black by Jim Ball

The replacement was identical to the original and was easy to install but didn't solve my problem. It took too long to fill my toilet. The solution was to remove the entire valve assembly and remove the spiral liner from the inside of the tubesheet (insert a curved mandrel into the hole where the waterline connects and pull it out). This thing is about 1/2 inch in diameter and 1 inch long. It's rubber and I think over the years it will get sticky and stop water from moving around. The toilet now fills up much faster and works well without this insert.
