No Stud Fit My TCL 32 " 3-Series 720p Roku Smart TV - 32S335

It should have been easy to install but it didn't get easy until I threw away the instructions and used my own good generic self that was set up against a small, narrow stucco wall with no studs, and here are a few of my notes: Instructions - if you can call them that - will only confuse you terribly I used to write technical manuals containing mechanical construction diagrams, and everything else I did What I can imagine is that we are all in serious trouble if our universities produce engineers who offer this level of education. Attach it with the supplied (tiny) bolts and washers, which are really too small in diameter, until you can get the rod all the way into the top of the hole.Do not do this or the TV will fall off the sta ngs, the cap screw and the washers should have a larger diameter. If you have large head bolts with large washers I would recommend using those. fully penetrates the groove. So I measured from the bottom of the groove (on the bar attached to the TV) to the top of the TV which came out to be 7.5 inches. I then took my T-square and was able to draw a straight horizontal line through the wall that was 7.5 inches below the wall light switch on that wall. I needed the top of the TV to be level with the bottom of the TV. Light switch. There is a spirit level attached to the wall light, but the light is very heavy and not completely flush with the wall, so it tends to slide all the time. It is best to draw a line on the wall with a pencil and focus on it. Then I placed the wall mount on the wall so the bottom of the mount matched the line I drew on the wall. Holding it with my left hand, inserted the two nails from the kit into the nail holes near the center of the mount and started hitting them. You MUST have a strong hand to hold the stencil very still, otherwise the stencil will move down as you hammer (the nails are skewed). Then I hammered in the rest of the nails. except two which i hammered directly into the wall using the holes at the bottom of the top holes. One thing I noticed is that the wall mount was slightly bent and not flush with the wall, leaving a few of my nails dangling a bit, but I'm not worried about that. That's all I did. I didn't add a screw but I might have to do that later if the house vibrates and such. It's okay - at least the heavy monster is already in place. I then added two bumpers/eyelets to the back of the TV and secured them under the stem mount with two screws. Turns out I had to add a bit more height to the spacer to straighten/remove the slight tilt towards the TV, so I just took two black rubber spacers and pressed them into the bumpers and voila. fits perfectly. .I am very happy with my setup and confident it will hold up considering how many nails it holds. So I ONLY used the supplied nails and spacers for the bumper walls and that was it. The rest of the gear is kept in a plastic bag for later use should I need it.
