I bought the kind with the zipper and belt loops. The waist sizing was on, but the sizing in the upper thighs is geared more toward people with no butt and skinny thighs. That's said my pants are comfortable, and will encourage me to up the cardio and ease up on the weights. The material seems durable, but time will tell. I am wondering about the degree of post-wash shrinkage though since they are 100% cotton. Only two annoyances with the pant's I ordered:(1.) The belt loops are typical--meaning a little small--they will not pass the female end of a rigger's belt buckle. Cargo pants designers should incorporate slightly larger belt loops.(2.) I hate the way they designed the back and cargo pockets flaps. They have a snap on one end of the flap, and the other end is sewn to the pocket. I ended up cutting the stitching on the sewn sides so I can have full access to the pockets. I would have preferred a snap/button on either side of the flap or a single snap/button in the center of the flap.
