Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Ewa-Marine EM U-BXP Clear Underwater Housing for DSLR Cameras by John Ghattamaraju

Waterproof but very bulky and difficult to use

This case provides excellent protection against water leakage/damage but does not allow easy access to the camera inside. I tested this case with a Nikon D7000 in a pool and found it very difficult to make adjustments and even release the shutter due to the relatively thick plastic that makes up the case. The case has a special sleeve for your finger to press the shutter button, but underwater I seemed to be able to shoot effectively about 50% of the time. I can't provide any concrete empirical evidence as to why this case isn't working properly, but this is my honest guess, based on a few days of experimentation and use. Unfortunately, the best options when it comes to waterproof camera cases are specialty hard cases that cost upwards of a thousand dollars and only fit a specific camera model. They'll probably do a good job of protecting your camera, but you have to ask yourself how much you value this particular feature. I sent back my Ewa-Marine U-BXP case and replaced it with a waterproof GoPro. It's a bit more expensive, but much more versatile. how much you appreciate this special feature.
