Review on 🚧 Non-Slip Stair Tape - Slip Guard Effective Solution by Julius Hunter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just what my dog and I needed

These non-slip strips were just what I needed. My old wooden steps are outside, leading from the back door to the concrete landing. Sometimes they get slippery when it rains. I needed an easy and inexpensive way to improve traction for me and my dog. I put the stripes on when I knew the weather was going to be over 50 degrees and no rain. Since the steps (40 inches) are wider than the strips of tape (24 inches), I cut several strips of tape in half and increased the coverage to 36 inches per step. Cutting was easy: I used a ruler to measure, a pencil to draw a line (on the back) and a utility knife to cut out with a piece of plywood underneath. I applied the tape about 3/4" from the edge. each step. I attached the tape by tearing off one edge, placing it where I wanted it, and then smoothing it out with my hand while my Assistant removed the backing. After all the steps were complete, I did the same for the concrete slab part. I was pleasantly surprised that the tape stuck to the wood and concrete. As a backup plan, I had silicone concrete adhesive and small wooden nails, but I didn't need them. So far I am very happy with the product. The grip is great even when wet and the adhesive still holds strong.I just hope they are just as useful when it snows.UPDATE 12/31/15: Tape stops sticking after enough rain on concrete.I'll try silicone glue once it's warm and dry.The wooden steps are still fine.UPDATE 11/1/16: I've been contacted by the seller. He explained that the streaks are on the concrete and offered to send me another pack of strips to try when the weather got warm and dry again, which might take some time. I must now say that I was pleasantly surprised and even impressed by their exceptional customer service and support.
