Both buttons on my key fobs are worn exposing the buttons on the circuit board. These replacement parts are a great way to redesign circuit boards. Keys look like new. Opening the original key was a bit of a hassle as they are not designed to be opened. The new cases don't have a waterproof O-ring, so if you want them to be waterproof. Around the perimeter you need to apply a silicone or spatula roller. I installed new batteries, the battery cover needs new screws as the cover has larger threads than the original cover. I had trouble sliding onto the new backplate without breaking the small metal tab that toggles the metal key dock. I ended up using the original key fob backplate (with the Toyota logo) with the new button bezel. Finally, I pocketed the original metal car keys and received two "like new" keys.
