My two furry older kids said Dr. Harvey's gets 5 stars. My 14.5 year old mixed breed terrier has early stage 3 kidney disease so we need to keep the proteins low but high quality, and also keep the phosphate levels low. I also ordered Dr. Harvey's Veg-to-Bowl and blended them in half and added chicken or turkey and fish oil and he loves it. The vet recommended the Hills Prescription Kidney Diet - at first he ate a little but gradually refused. I've found that most prescription diets contain a lot of unhealthy foods. If I didn't eat it, I definitely wouldn't want my dogs to eat it. dr Harvey is top notch. I also have a 16 1/2 year old terrier mix and give it to him as well. I love my shelter dogs!
