High quality teleprompter, no remote control, no software

I've been dreaming of a teleprompter since I started making videos. When I saw this I couldn't pass by. It was an easy setup right out of the box - almost. Putting the hood on was a little tricky as the photos are hard to see and I mounted it upside down. This meant removing the velcro which was quite sticky and difficult to remove. Otherwise it's easy. The first thing I noticed was how difficult it is. When I ordered it I was concerned that it might not support my camera (Canon 6D with a heavy wide angle lens). No problem. The teleprompter is made of heavy aluminum with tempered glass and the hood is made of very nice fabric. This should take a long time. If you need to get mobile it comes in a really nice case. Ease of use could be better. The glass angle and the clip for holding my tablet are easy to adjust. I had to mount the quick release plate on the bottom so it could be mounted on a tripod. Also, to adjust the camera front to back, I have to remove the screw and move the camera, and then put the screw back. It's not comfortable. Much better would be a slider with a screw or knob that only needs to be tightened or loosened. I've noticed that many teleprompters come with a bluetooth remote and their own software. It doesn't work either. While the software is available for free, operation without a remote control is a real problem. I really had to work with this before I started filming to get the speed right. Otherwise it's trial and error where you shoot many, many, many stops and start to build up to speed. The same applies to the font size. What's saved on price compared to competitors is spent on buying a remote control (another $30-50). If I want good software, it's another $10-20. So what seemed like a good deal actually isn't. Once you add the accessory, it costs the same as other comparable devices.
