I was looking for a natural chemical peel and the EWG website led me to this one. It's a little pricey for the amount of product you get but I only use it once a week so it lasts a while and it's a good product. It has left my skin smooth without the irritation I used to have from using harsh scrubs and it really helps get rid of blackheads, although I have a few stubborn ones that tend to stay. It's not perfect, but works better than anything I've used. I would like to make some suggestions for those who want to try this product: 1- Don't use it every day. The manufacturer claims you can, and some people can take it, but I found it too drying for daily use, and you really should only be exfoliating once or twice a week. 2- Let the enzymes do most of the work. They help soften dead skin, so physical cleansing should be gentle and minimal. I leave it on my skin for two minutes and only start scrubbing for the last minute before washing it off. 3- Don't forget to moisturize your skin after use. Although this product is gentler than most conventional drugstore products, it still dries the skin a bit. Follow up with some HA serum and a good moisturizer and your skin will thank you.
