This is the third pair of ladders I've bought for my small dogs. One of them had a leg injury that needed surgery, so she wasn't supposed to jump off furniture. These were the most expensive I've bought but by far the best. They are soft but very durable. They're not bulky; don't take up much space. Brown matches my furniture and decor. My dogs only go up and down soft stairs and they aren't the softest of all although they are tougher than others but soft enough to be used with confidence and also soft enough that I'm not afraid of the wounded man turning will hurt.
