As a swim coach and mother of 5 swimmers, we need lots of towels. The best ones for us pack less, absorb a lot of water and dry quickly. A friend recently suggested trying Turkish cotton towels and this particular brand. I bought this and two other brands. I got six of these for the price of two other brands, so I didn't have high expectations. They arrived in a plastic bag. When opening the packaging there was no foreign smell or other problems. The towels are the same size as the others I ordered, lighter and thicker. The colors are amazing, a soft pastel collection that I love. Initially they felt rough, but after washing (delicate wash, no fabric softener, hang dry) the towel softens. It folds compactly, absorbs a lot of water and dries quickly when unfolded. This towel is perfect for competitive swimming where you're constantly in and out of the water and can't take a towel with you to every swim event. but you must be able to dry and stay warm. I couldn't find any manufacturing defects.
