They have 3 old Powershot ELPH models and love them. If you need a better zoom this one helps in the sense that it's better than the other new models which are terrible for KIDS. You no longer have the setting "BABY"! WHY ? All it takes is a faster shutter speed with a higher ISO. Why is it so hard to set up Canon? You guys have all these weird recording styles but NO KIDS! So this model has a multi-shutter capability. The longer I hold the shutter button, the more images are needed. It will catch this freeze frame event. However, be a little ahead of the shot so you have time to focus on the target. Then press for one second. and BAM BAM BAM, you can choose the frame you like the most. Understand that YOU must also be still. don't get so nervous about moving with the action. Here you need to switch to video mode. Looks great when played back on HD TV. The battery is not the same, so I cannot exchange with older models. And the microSD card is more difficult to remove than the standard cards. Basically I like it :)
