The vegan leather on this backpack is of good quality, looks and feels like regular leather and has no chemical smell. It came with a PETA-certified vegan leather tag. I love the small size of this bag, it looks flattering and has room for a Kindle, iPad Mini, magazine and other small goodies. It's not difficult in itself either. There are many pockets that can be organized both inside and outside the bag. It looks a lot more expensive than it actually is (in fact, this particular backpack is now being sold for double the price in a luxury department store). The ivory color is also very pretty.
