When the bucket isn't in use, it just takes up space. However, in our homes they are often filled with soil or something similar and become storage containers. Made from almost flat plastic, this bucket folds down to about two inches and even has a hole for hanging on the wall. the handle wasn't in danger of falling apart or breaking. It's a great addition to your cleaning supplies, car care kit or just a bucket to have on hand when needed. It appears to be of high quality. However, I have a caveat to use. I do not recommend storing it where it will be exposed to the elements and especially sunlight. I have had many plastic tools including other buckets that would become brittle when left outside and exposed to the sun. The bucket itself will probably be fine, but the plastic handle might not hold up in the sun for months.
