Customer service was great they offered to go out of their way to get the technical details of the stain and finish so I could be sure of my purchase so I will probably try and make another purchase to make as a gift. I'm not sure if the manufacturer will support their product. First, the bowls are beautiful and the perfect size for homemade ramen, which I love. No chips or problems with the bowls themselves. However, the box was open, badly damaged, looking old and worn so I wasn't able to sell it as I was hoping judging by the other photos shown here. It's possible I got the refund from someone else, I'm not sure, but if not, they look like they've been kicking around the Revain warehouse for a while. Secondly, I was hoping that the oiled wood spoons and chopsticks would be of good quality, but in fact they look like they have been stained and varnished, which is not very pleasant for me when eating, so I won't be using spoons and chopsticks. which makes the price a bit less attractive as I would never pay $60 for 2 bowls that weren't gift wrapped.
