I spend a lot of time in a finished basement, so I usually use a heater all year round. It is recommended not to use extension cords with heaters and for good reason, unless you use heavy duty cords, outlets and cords get very hot, which could cause the power plug to explode or start a fire. I've always used heavy-duty cables and splitters when needed. Using this monstrous cable with a heater will not give you the slightest hint of overheating or heating of the connector ends like a thinner cable would. The picture shows a medium sized heavy duty cable (16 gauge) compared to what you can probably classify as industrial. Nice to find it in shorter length and black color, glowing LED definitely makes it a better choice.
