I must have received a bowl that had problems when they finished the inside of the bowl with resin or glaze. There are about 6 very small pinhead sized raised circles that break up the smooth coating on the inside of the bowl. Only a few of them are obvious and noticeable, but since seeing them, I've made a detailed investigation and found more. It seems like glaze or resin or whatever they use to create a shiny look but something happened and the shiny surface has these raised circles so it's not smooth. At first I wondered if something was stuck and tried to pry it out with my fingertips, but then I realized it was part of the shiny surface, a roughness. For the price I paid for it (<$50) I will not be returning it as the bamboo shell it replaces is almost completely worn out and now looks very dull.
