Completely obnoxious, very loud voice prompts

Initial review August 16, 2021 Some may not care or even like this feature, but I find it renders the speaker almost useless. I'm talking about VERY loud voice prompts with no volume control. I suspect there is an original company that develops and sells electronic modules, and other companies use these modules in different shapes and colors of pillars with their name. Too many of those Bluetooth speakers have this annoying feature. A simple beep is enough. Enough about that. As for other functions. There's a lot to like about this speaker: - 12 hours of playtime - Nice looks - Good construction - Good enough sound considering the small 5W speakers - Easy pairing and Bluetooth 5.0 connection - Splashproof - Can be loaded from a microSD (TF) Card) This speaker is not unidirectional, as its round shape would suggest. Sound is radiated in one direction. While the base is acceptable for a small, low-powered speaker, I definitely wouldn't call it rich bass. If you don't mind loud voice prompts, this speaker could be for you. The price is right.

Pros
  • Portable speakers and docking stations
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
