I found an old Sony TV in the hallway that was going to the dump. I wanted to play my Wii U in my room instead of always playing in the living room. I originally bought an HDMI converter which worked great but required the USB connection I normally use to power my controllers. Also, I was wondering if there was an easier way to play Wii U on this old TV. There is. This cable did it. Just plug it into your Wii U and connect the red, white and yellow wires to the back of your TV. Power on the system and use the Wii U Controller to change the display settings to non-HDMI. Immediately the display turned on with the same quality as the converter. I wish the aspect ratio was better but it's really cool to play old games these days because it's more nostalgic. I called Nintendo and this is an officially licensed product as advertised. Thank you Nintendo for supporting this product.
