I have used several cases for my iPad while looking for one that can really hold up. This case holds the iPad well in two horizontal or two vertical positions. The best thing about this case also turns out to be "against”. The flip cover, which becomes the base when used as a stand, offers two very deep channels for the iPad, resulting in a fairly stable stand. The disadvantage of this design is that the thickness of the vane required to provide these deep channels does not allow the magnetic "off" function to operate stably when the vane is closed. Also, the valve is closed with an elastic band, which works well now but will definitely loosen over time. A solid "lip" closure that allows the two halves to snap together would have been much better. Overall, though, it's a pretty cute cover.
