Review on Riverstone Audio Matched Fully Tested Platinum by Jeremy Therrien

Excellent phono stage/preamp for the money

Well worth the money. I bought this to connect my Audio Technica AT LP3 turntable to my Monoprice tube amp. I'm 67 years old and have worked with analogue/vinyl systems my whole life and I can tell you that this little box rivals some of the more expensive solid state phono stages I've had over the years. Doesn't spoil the sound in any way. This gives it some much-needed depth and warmth that solid-state phono stages lack. Is it on par with more expensive tube phono stages? I have no idea. Is that good enough for this old man's ears? Oh damn yes! If you're looking for a really good phono stage then you've come to the right place. And do yourself a favor and buy a set of phono preamp and matching tubes. It's worth the price. In my system I use a Nobsound Little Bear T7 Phono Stage/PreampMonoprice 50W per channel hybrid tube amp (fantastic amp) Audio Technica AT LP3 belt drive turntable (read my Revain review) Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge (great base cartridge) Bookshelf speakers Polk Audio T15 (good speakers in a small package) Monoprice 8" 60W powered subwoofer (small but powerful) This package together makes for an unbeatable budget system for those just starting out with or returning to the world of vinyl. I can tell you that it rivals my more expensive vinyl solid state system in my main listening room, in fact this system can be easily put into "backup status", I like the sound of the above installation much more!
