I was excited to have them come in. I was aware that they did have fingers inside like gloves, gave them a chance anyway as I prefer a mitten. I live in SD and until recent haven't had a chance to put them to the test of colder weather. I have seen review of others. At 0 to -10 degrees shoveling snow, my fingers did get a little chilled after 1/2 hour of shoveling. Expected a little better after reading reviews of those chopping wood and other activities. I am a waterfowl hunter, I hunt geese in later winter and have been in the field with a pair of mittens i dearly love. I do not believe these will withstand the frigid temps I have put my mittens through. Would I recommend, 50/50. as I said I am a mitten man, these will work, but will look for something in a full mitten and not have the glove inside.
