The wiring diagram can be a bit confusing

I wanted to write a review for this product. I needed an external RFID keypad for my UTPPOTE magnetic lock. I received the device from Revain and was thrilled when it arrived. The packaging was great and it turned out to be a lot heavier than I expected. The metal body is very strong and not just stamped steel. There's a sensor on the back that sounds an alarm if someone pulls it out of the building it's attached to. So that's great again. The screw that attaches it to the base is a tamper proof screw and the device came with a wrench. Another plus in my book. Now that things are gone. I'm an electro guy, have been for years. I was trained in modern electronics in the Navy, so I spend my day reading circuits and understanding logic. The book that came with the device is very well put together, although the sketch in the manual is a bit sketchy. And what's worse, if you search the web for the best option, you'll find that there are many different ones. For my setup, I found that the purple wire needs to be grounded. So from my power supply (also UHPPOTE) I had to connect the black and purple keyboard wires to ground. Blue for Push, Red for 12V, and then NO and COM for Magnetic Closure. After this was done, everything worked as intended. I wanted to share this with the community in case anyone gets confused with the instructions.
