Review on Men's Mission Belt with Ratchet Buckle by Travis Garron

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I refuse mission belts - they keep breaking - I've tried mechanical reinforcement.

A nylon/plastic belt has a plastic base held in place by the teeth of a lever that secures it to the buckle. About buckles a little later. The plastic will stretch and the belt will fall out of the buckle. After a few times, it's too short to fit. I was given a belt for free and then offered a 20% replacement. Totally useless if it can't work properly. But hundreds of others. I love her but not me. I drilled and tapped a hole through the lever to the buckle and used a flush mount allen screw to further attach the strap to the buckle. This one has now thrown up too. I will try the Nextbelt system. I wear a lot of outfits over jeans. Knives and flashlights and sometimes OWB. I'd say it's fine for full clothing, but for outdoor activities stick with Wilderness Tactical Instructors or some other type of EDC or service harness.

Pros
  • The belt comes in different sizes to accommodate different body types.
Cons
  • Cannot be worn with low waist pants.
