Nice small profile portable radio. Can use 4 AA batteries so there are no wires, or you can plug it into the wall or laptop/other electronic device with a 5V USB cable. Please note that batteries are required to keep the clock running when not plugged in as there is no internal rechargeable battery. Has 20 presets which is more than the number of stations I could find even on the FM page so it came in handy and it has an alarm clock. The display lights up when a button is pressed. The sound gets very loud and the quality is good if you can hear the station clearly. I have a feeling this radio will get more static and harder to find stations than my car radio so I've marked it with an asterisk. Will be a welcome addition to our cinematic adventures. Update: Received customer service support, so the rating has been changed. Below are instructions for better reception of radio stations: Regarding the reception of AM channels on radio, since the pitch value of AM radio channel in North America is 10, and the initial value of our radio is 9; So you need to follow a simple process before using it to set the step value and then select the AM channel you want to listen to. Here are the relevant steps: 1. With the device powered off, press and hold the "M+” button to jump to our preset AM receive step value; 2. Short press the "Tun+" button to select the step value 10 you need, then short press the "M+" button to confirm the selected step value, and then you can select the channel according to your needs want to hear.
