The Google Chromecast 2020 remote control is very slippery and offers a good tactile grip. They're also slippery initially (no worse than the remote's plastic casing), but after a few days of use, they're not so smooth, and the patterned backing helps too. They also offer some protection for the remote, but the best part is the contrast they add to the remote. The buttons really stand out and are easier to see in the dark. The raised lip around the 5-way button at the top takes a bit of getting used to as it no longer sits flush with the body of the remote but becomes second nature very quickly. . They are very easy to put on; You simply insert the remote control through the large top hole. Removing them is a bit more difficult, and the battery cover tends to come loose with them. This is a feature and not a bug as you are probably removing the cover because you need to replace the battery. Two small features: First, there is what appears to be an extra hole in the bottom center. This is not a bug (I thought so) - there is an LED that lights up when you use voice search. Second, if you want keys to stand out (high contrast), darker colors work much better. I have the black/navy/green set and black and navy are better for contrast. The green is lighter than it looks in the picture, and while it's easier to see in the dark, there's very little contrast around the keys. It doesn't matter, and I didn't rate it either, since you basically get by with a simple remote control like this. I will be buying a second set to get two more darker colors. Highly recommended!
