before buying i asked my doctor about ultrasonic cleaning and she said it was a scam. I wear RGP scleral lenses after my cornea was damaged during cataract surgery. The lenses are molded plastic and sit on the whites of my eyes so they are large. I've dealt with streaks on the outer third of the lens causing them to suck air under the lens. It clouds my vision. The first night I did a 5 minute cycle with the residual water from cleaning the lens with Clean Care the night before. I skipped the step where you wipe the lens with Optimum. I could see the "streaks" floating to the surface forming a clear lens. I change 2 minutes every other night. It appears that some of the deposits in the lentils are protein and some are fat. I don't know the difference. I know this one-time purchase cleans my lenses much better and with less effort. I strongly recommend trying it. I stand less than 2 months on dirty material with less friction on the lens.
