These bags are THICK and strong enough to hold enough stuff and the straps are long and strong. I used bags to store gifts for deployed US troops, and after the first items were placed in the bags, there was empty space -- candy and snack bars, packets of cookies, a pair of socks, candy, mints, cocoa, and a mix of cider drinks. wraps, a 3x5 Christmas card, tuna and salmon wraps, life rolls and a handful of mints.
