Review on Idea Waterproof Motorcycle Gear Indicator LED Display For Yamaha (Green) by Tiger Carpani

Super simple but effective gear indicator! I wish I had done this many years ago! Pros: - Installation was actually quite easy. 2 plugs and 2 wire connections - The display is nice and bright and easy to read day and night - The gear indicator changes almost instantly as soon as you release the clutch (not when physically shifting) but that's fine with me. It's fast enough. I run mine in line with my speedoDRD (tacho healer). Mine installed wiring harness -> TachoDRD -> gear indicator -> speed sensor. The speed seems to be the same as before. Cons: The instructions don't tell you which wire to connect the Yamaha to (FZ1, R1, R6, FZ8, etc.), but after watching a YouTube video, I found that it's a gray wire on the signal side traded wire harness (on the sensor side the colors are reversed). There is nothing to lose a star for. Power is just any switched power cable. No problem. Overall, I am fully satisfied with this gear indicator. I've ridden about 300 miles, testing up and down, skipping gears etc and every time it's dead. Totally worth the money if your bike doesn't have a gear indicator (and there are less than half other brands!) Hopefully it lasts Long. Great product so far!
