Review on Axis Scientific Flexible Skeleton Warranty by Reginald Pitt

Amazing build quality and fun

This is Aksel. He came into my life on September 18, 2018 and it was a great pleasure to work with this skeleton. At first I was afraid to move it too much because I didn't want to break it. I accidentally broke pieces off the Halloween skeletons and it's an order of magnitude more in price but also in quality which I was hoping for but couldn't figure out right away. I had to save up for it so I could study the real bones of the human body and not just look at pictures in textbooks or buy a rigid body skeleton. It was also a bit stiff at first, so I was very careful. I didn't want to let him do any harm. It soon turned out that all these fears were unfounded. This is an awesome skeleton. Build quality must be experienced in person to be appreciated. I can sling a life-size pose and stay skeleton over my shoulder and bring it to the checkout, which is what I did when they were on sale for Halloween. Not so with this skeleton. Axel has real weight due to his much denser bones. This is a skeleton that a student can purchase at school, use as a model in a hospital or private practice, take home after retirement, and then pass on as a family heirloom. The owner easily takes care of this skeleton. The Axel had a couple of button head screw covers that came loose with movement and were easy to put back on without tools, although I had to use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten some parts I felt were too loose. With the exception of the scapula, the skeleton is fully articulated and there is a small twisted steel wire at the ends of the distal phalanges. These wires can sometimes snag on things, but with just the strength of my fingers I was able to coil them up like new. I have several different brands of Halloween skeletons and none of them compare to the scientific accuracy of this skeleton. The back detail is amazing. Working with real human bones to create parts of this skeleton resulted in a build quality I've never experienced before. carefully, it is also very time consuming. I started looking for such a skeleton in April 2018. I researched for five months (part time of course - I have a life lol). When I first chose Axis Scientific for my flexible skeleton, I went through the details of every medical skeleton in this price range, read every review, looked at every photo, contacted Revain for more information, and when I placed my order, I was sure that I made the right choice. I know as a little girl I sound very excited and happy when I get a new doll and in a way that's a good analogy for how I feel about Axl. It is always a pleasure to research a product extensively and then buy it and feel the satisfaction of buying a quality product. The research time was worth it. I hope this review helps you in your own decision-making process. (Note: In the picture of Axel fishing, I used a strand of steel wire from a dollar store to run through his fingertips to hold and coil the rod, and then tie them back behind the chair to raise and hold the rod in place (He's poseable but doesn't pose. Luckily that's an easy fix.)
