I've had my Sprout for 13 months now and it makes me smile every time I turn the knobs and the music comes on. We have a Sprout setup in an open plan two story family room and it gets loud enough with the volume set at 12pm. It is visually appealing and blends into any type of decor. Woman's acceptance factor is off the charts. We love its simplicity and tangible connection to our music. I use it every day and mainly use the phono stage and the Bluetooth functions. Pros: 1) The phono stage is amazing, but what surprised me was the bluetooth streaming quality. Before the Scion, I hated music over Bluetooth. I now only use Bluetooth and avoid the available analog 3.5mm connection. Digital input quality is amazing for FLAC, ALAC and other lossless audio signals (your computer requires a separate driver download from the PS Audio website). 2) PS Audio's customer service is excellent. I once asked a question about amplifying a Sprout phono stage. I spoke to the knowledgeable voice on the other end for a good 30 minutes and he was patient with my questions and open to suggestions. At the end of the conversation I asked him his name and he said "Scott". Only then did it become clear that I was speaking to Scott McGowan, Sprout designer and son of Paul McGowan, the founder of PS Audio. Scott was humbled when I cursed and simply said they were running a difficult ship and he was working the helpdesk phones that day. Nice gesture. The Sprout is a quality audio device with a number of useful features at an affordable price. I love Sprout and wouldn't trade it for anything else on my app. Cons: I'm a bit picky here, but there are just a few things I'd like to see in the 2.0 version: 1) More power 2) Optical out 3) Subwoofer out 4) Auto-standby and signal-based power-up 5) Slim LED indicator that shows the device is powered on.
