Ordered this and version with cable extension. That didn't work at all, but these worked great. I've had this one for two or three years and broke it a week or so ago. I dozed off and dropped my phone and it hit all wrong. He bent the male part that exposed the case. I thought the snap button would work but it didn't so I reordered. I like to have 2 and one black and one white. Sometimes I need white to be easy to find, but I like it when black goes with it. My phone is black as is everything I have plugged in like the iXY mic. Anyone with this mic can't use the case on their phone. I don't feel safe without a case so this is the perfect solution. Works perfectly. Even if you have this mic or get one, TwistedWave is the best recording app when it comes to audio only and if you record video, FilMic Pro works great with this mic.
