I bought this jar with my hard earned money and this review reflects my experience with it. Purchased in July 2020. This mug was purchased for a home made cold brew coffee over the weekend. The glass is quite thick, but not very thick, so it should be handled with care. The silicone center section helps you get a good grip, but this area still feels as good as glass. The lid is plastic with a rubber ring around the rim that creates a pretty good seal where it makes contact with the jar, but when it does tip over. will likely come loose, especially on faster/harder rollovers (e.g. onto carpet or something). There is also a straw from which liquid flows. The straw is pretty good quality, I think it's plastic. Another is not where the cap's glass and flesh are, there is a small ledge that helps stabilize the cap's position. The style of the mug seems good to me, but personal opinions differ. The price is very competitive with other glass mugs, but more than one set of mugs. Back to the thickness of the glass, it appears to be slightly thicker than a regular glass mug. The silicone makes it difficult to measure the amount of liquid to properly mix my coffee, but there are some lines inside. I use them as best I can.
