These items are very comfortable. I've never particularly liked cotton balls, partly because I don't like the feel of the texture and partly because individual cotton threads sometimes come loose. These small Swissper pads (and the slightly larger round pads the company makes) are great for removing makeup and applying astringent/toner. Normally only one shoe is needed for this work. And I like to use the quilted side - nice to have the option. I think these small pads are perfect if you don't use a lot of makeup, but maybe the larger pads would be better if you use more.
