A hitch was installed so I could use a shelf in the back. I have this extension so the exhaust doesn't blow onto the shelf and melt things. I think it looks sharp and almost standard, it was difficult to put on as it's so narrow had to bend the exhaust pipe a bit and use petroleum jelly, a board and a hammer to hammer it in place without slamming it shut damage, it doesn't get close together everywhere up there. I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as I've only recently installed it so I don't know how it will hold up over time but I was in the mood for quality materials and color but for a while and new England winters will show
