I have 2 Wayne pumps, both 3 years old. These switches last about 1 1/2 years. Not the 1,000,000 cycles Wayne suggests in his literature. Closer to 65,000 cycles based on my limited experience with 6 switches (4 failed). The owner's manual suggests replacing the switch every 2 years, suggesting they also know the 1,000,000 cycle claim isn't true. And by the way, although it is NOT specifically stated, the switches are not covered by their new pump warranty. So what is the statistical probability of getting 4 switches randomly chosen over 3 years that go through 65,000 cycles when the mean of the distribution is 1,000,000 cycles?
