When this arrived, I took all the pieces out and inspected them closely. We love the phone - there is an on and off switch on the back, and it is a touch screen and makes different sounds and has a very smartphone feel to it, and my 4 year old LOVES IT. The makeup is not real, but looks very very real, I had to touch it all to make sure it was not real. The jewelry was an instant hit, and was easy for my little to put it on herself, and she has been wearing it since I gave it to her HOURS ago.The nail polish bottle is the cutest - and it has been fun to watch my little sit and pretend to paint her own nails. The bristles on the nail polish brush are crooked and curved, but it doesn't seem to deter her from being able to use it, so not a dealbreaker for us. The lipstick is easier than the lip gloss, because the cap comes away from another white piece in the cap, meaning it may not have been glued or put on correctly, and she needs my help to get the cap off the gloss because of this.The glitter looking eye shadows are the best. My little loves all three colors and wants to pretend to wear all of them. They are super sparkly and vibrant in the container, so she enjoys playing with it over and over again.I don't love the brushes, as they are too small, as are the bristles, so if they are used for play, I can see an accident poking in the eye by mistake, and would have suggested to the company to provide bigger brushes with bigger bristles.The purse is absolutely hideous, and there are two separate zippered compartments which I hoped would mean that everything included in this set would fit - but nope, you cannot fit everything in the bag without having a frustrated little that will not be able to get it in or out all by herself. This might be why there are two bags included in this set, but the mermaid fanny pack was not a hit either.The sunglasses look like they were used - there are scratches on the lenses right out of the package, and there appears to also be smudges which I am not sure are fingerprints or something else.Either way, this set overall is a great quality set and would make a great Christmas gift. I still love it, mostly for the phone and other items mentioned above, so definitely go for it if you are looking or a good quality, fake makeup set!
