These terminals are NOT compatible with C9 bulbs and sockets. The description that they fit C9 bulbs and sockets is not only misleading, it's WRONG! They'll probably fit C7's and smaller, but you're basically breaking the clips when you try to stretch them to fit the C9's base, and even then they're too small to snap into the base, and the allowable Setback is too small to hold base securely C9. . Even if you put the C9 base in there without damaging the clip, the first wind or rain will cause a large percentage of your lights to fall out of those clips. Anyway, these clips CAN fit the much narrower C9 base that comes with cheap spools of pre-lit wire with C9 bulbs (they are actually smaller than C9s) sold in some big stores.
