Rancho 9000 Series Shocks

I ordered this shock (along with one for the other side of course) for a 2005 4WD, Toyota 4Runner and installed it on a Rancho Leveling Strut. The strut system also includes RS000 shock absorbers. Installation was painless and quick, I lifted the rear and removed both tires for easy access. These are adjustable units with both manual and wireless remote controls, however the remote control is sold separately. I've started with the front wheels on '4' and the rear wheels on '3' just to get started and the ride has been great so far. It will take me a while to fiddle with the settings, but the ride is much better than stock and I'm happy with it for now. Rancho has some setup guidelines on their website that I found while checking out a remote device. You have a pre-programmed remote control for: Sport, Work-Tow, Off-Road, Highway and then a My Ride option where you can enter your preferred settings. I'm more than likely to find what I think is the best overall. Settings and then leave it alone. Otherwise I'd probably buy a remote unit as I just don't see myself crawling under a car to make changes that often. The controls are easy to reach, but I suppose it just depends on your ambition to make changes to the settings. Overall I'm very happy with this setup, it was an easy setup and an affordable price compared to other products on the market. From what I've been told they're somewhat comparable to the Bilstien 5100 series, with the Bilstiens being slightly ahead but also slightly more expensive.
