Until my kitty finds new items to accidentally scratch, I'll probably never have to buy them again. On the bottom corners of my brown fabric sofa, this is just perfect. Very easy to apply and they are REALLY sticky. I can understand some people's concerns that it can be so sticky that it can peel off leather furniture (if removed or moved for any reason), but that's not an issue for my soft fabric. I've moved a few pieces of these sticky shields back and forth a few times, placed them in the right place on the fabric, and of course I could see that they are SO sticky, they attract a thin layer of fluffy fibers to themselves, but don't to the surface. point of real damage. My kitten sniffed the new shields and immediately went for it. Good invention. Thick plastic can be seen from some angles in the room, similar to the clear tape on the bottom/corners of the sofa. It's pretty much "invisible" from other angles and lighting conditions, so maybe not the prettiest solution, but it's better than covering my couch with blankets etc 24/7, and I'd definitely recommend it. Hopefully I don't have to cover anything else, but it's definitely not going anywhere. Very durable on its own, no nails or anything else ugly or uncomfortable.
