Dude, what a joke. This thing creates the wrong polarity. I don't know if this actually filters performance because when I hooked it up to my audio systems, my sound sounded like it was ripped off. I checked with my polarity checker, it reported "wrong polarity". I opened up the device to see if I could reverse the polarity. I could not. But I found that the ground wire was not connected to anything. Thus, the ground wire from the wall network is not used in this Mute Brick. Some systems made in China have quality control issues. Usually this is not an extreme way to solve problems. This is complete junk that can ruin your valuable audio system. Stay away from it.
