This is a fantastic sweater. My 16 year old cat was cold and lost a lot of weight and hair due to hyperthyroidism. Not only did I put him on the right dose of medication and gave him a high calorie rescue gel along with special meals and some treats, but I also bought him this sweater to keep him comfortable while he recovers. He really loves it, much to my surprise. I thought he was going to do the "I can't walk all of a sudden!" thing, but he did it right away. I think that's because this sweater is not only soft, but it's not too tight around the neck. I wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle in the washing machine, in a mesh bag for delicate fabrics, then tumble dry on low heat. Unlike another brand of sweaters I bought him, he didn't shrink and kept his shape and softness. It fits his eyes and works like a Thundershirt because he's much calmer and gentler in it than without. And everyone at the vet thought he looked gorgeous.
