I ordered this pail because I wanted something small and minimalistic. I plan to use cloth diapers and wash them very often so I don't need a fancy diaper pail system. This diaper pail is a bit larger and thin than I expected. I could swear I looked at the dimensions of the product and compared it to the dimensions of the shelf on my changing table before I bought it. I also remember a commenter saying that the bucket was a lot smaller than expected and could only hold a couple of diapers at a time - which I wanted. But the bucket is definitely too big to fit on my shelf and can hold about a dozen diapers at a time. The lid should snap into place, but the snapping mechanism is very minimal, very inefficient. If someone accidentally knocks over the bucket, the lid can come off even if it's locked. My husband was not at all impressed with this purchase. He said we could also use an empty cat litter bin to store dirty diapers until washed. In his opinion, there is nothing special about this bucket. At this point in my pregnancy I'm too fat and bloated to be picky, so I plan to keep the bucket to myself. But of course I'm open to alternatives.
