This is exactly what I wanted. The wood is veneered chipboard, but that's to be expected at the price. I was worried about putting it together, but it ended up being pretty easy. All the white part is already assembled, it only remains to connect the legs and the bottom shelf. The only thing that was a bit awkward was the connection of the shelf to the legs. You need to insert the round piece into the holes on the shelf, insert the screw into the leg, connect them together, and then screw in the round piece to tighten. You will need a slotted screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver for this, but these are not marked/illustrated in the instructions. I am very happy with my purchase. My old bedside table was big and clunky and this is the perfect minimalistic replacement!
