I have been providing first aid for over thirty years. I was always having to deal with this cord dangling from my dash or lying on my seat for my emergency lights. Built in warning lights just aren't in my budget for my cars. Thought I'd try this light on my pickup truck which I don't use that often. To my surprise, this thing is brighter than the light I currently use in my car. AND NO PIPES! There are no moving parts. The vision of rotating light is created by electronically turning the LED lights on and off in a clockwise repeating sequence. The 4 AA batteries are located in a holder inside the device. To access the inside of the device, unscrew the blue dome and lift it off the base. no tools required. Here you can see all electronics and cables. These things always seem so fragile, but they seem strong enough to get the job done. There are two magnets holding it to the roof of the car and they are strong enough but not so strong that they are difficult to remove. One thing worries me, and time will tell: the switch mounted below doesn't look like it's designed to be watertight. The company does not claim that. If it turns out to be just a dash mount light, it's still the best I've seen to date.
