The tasteful aesthetic is simple and appealing and I have no complaints about the looks. However, the three-layer decorative element that makes it visually interesting limits its functionality at a size of 8 mm when piercing the septum. Since it can also be used for cartilage piercings, this problem may only be limited to septum piercings. I haven't had a chance to experiment with it otherwise because I can't get it off my nose. As you can see from the product image, the part of the ring that goes through the piercing itself is limited by the middle layer. On both sides of the half rings that form a decorative element. And since the middle layer going through the piercing is also the hinge and the only moving part of the ring, the jewelry's rotation is limited to about 1/3 of the total diameter. Depending on how wide your partition is, this is either a small restriction that's just annoying when trying to remove it, or it actually becomes a painful and unsuccessful attempt. Remove it, the size doesn't draw attention to the piercing but creates a tasteful, subtle hint of a simple and interesting piece of jewelry. Trying to open a VERY STRONG latch is frustrating. Due to the tight fit, the edges of the layers of the half ring painfully touch the inside of my nose. In general, beautiful design, affordable price, reasonable quality of materials. The disadvantage is the design in combination with such a securely fixed click mechanism and a diameter that is too small. Based on my experience I would not recommend 8mm for a septum piercing.
