My first Panasonic camera. Bought this for scale, portability, and video capabilities. Fits in a pocket but is heavier and larger than I expected. I've posted a size comparison to other cameras I have. A very fun camera to have with me all day. The start is quick. The rise and fall is also fast. The lens is silent when zooming. This is very convenient when recording videos. The lenses I have for my Nikon D5500 are very noisy and constantly refocusing. Although the video quality is excellent on my d5500. My Canon SL1 Rebel shoots video much better than my Nikon. Canon STM lenses are very quiet. The focus is also much better. Zs60 is great for videos. Even in low light, the zs60 delivers crisp 1080p images. I was also interested in 4K video. The amazing feature is recording high speed video at 120fps and 240fps. The higher speed allows you to shoot at 480 resolution but still looks amazing. Still image quality is as expected for a small sensor. Decent images but don't expect much depth in the images. Cropping your photos will also reveal all the noise that the 1/2.3 inch sensor has. The Zs60 looks solid and is a good weight. The dial on the top and back of the camera feels cheap. The ring appears to be solid. It can be used to manually focus or change aperture or shutter speed. Many settings are possible since most buttons are programmable. The flash is in a bad place. I have to be careful to hold the camera a certain way or my middle finger will partially block the flash. Both viewfinders are amazingly clear. I never thought I would use an EVF style viewfinder but this camera is really good. It is convenient when the sunlight is very bright. The battery seems to have a decent lifespan. It doesn't compare to my D5500 but seems average. A trick I use to keep the screen from turning on when I don't want it to put my finger on my eye too much. next to the electronic viewfinder. The menu system is responsive and clear. There are many deeds. ures are packed into this camera. It will take time to try them all. The art filters are excellent. You can turn flat images into something better. I recorded a video in 4k but I have nothing to watch it. So I can't comment on that. But I tried the 4K photo burst mode. Almost all photos taken in burst mode were grainy. The backgrounds looked very soft. I did them when it was cloudy outside, so I might have gotten better results if the sun was shining. Still experimenting. Overall, I really enjoy using this camera. Update: I couldn't figure out this camera's WiFi. It is confusing. As for the photos I posted, the first one was taken with the Artistic Expression filter in Creative mode. The second was filmed in iA mode. the third and fourth show the range of the lens. Look at the center of the picture with the parking lot. You will see a white bell tower. it is 24 mm. The fourth photo is a clock tower with a height of 720 mm. 5-7 is just a size comparison. {UPDATE: 6-9-2016} Now that I've been using this camera for 2 months, I've found that the software works to transfer pictures to my iPhone and iPad. The camera can also connect itself to the wireless network, but you will need a Panasonic account to do this. I didn't sign up for that. I said before that low light videos are great. I was wrong. I shot inanimate objects (candles, electric and real) in low light. But I found it horrible to photograph people indoors, even in good light. This camera works great in sunlight. Videotaping my daughter's preschool reunion is next to useless. Zs60 smears, blurs and distorts your objects. I'm still leaving my rating at 5 stars because I can't put this camera down. He is with me everywhere. But certain shooting conditions really bring out the flaws of the 1/2.3-inch sensor. But the videos and photos I took on the moon are amazing! Now I appreciate the video and photo quality of my APS-C cameras more. Size zs60 This is great. Very small and that's a compromise: small camera/sensor, poor image quality. This camera also suffers from the "rolling shutter", "jelly" effect when recording videos. It doesn't happen every time I shoot a video, but it's noticeable. On a positive note, this camera is great for macro photography! You can shoot up to 5cm away from your subject! Close-ups are excellent too (all in the right lighting). All in all, this camera is a lot of fun to use. I have uploaded more photos. Moonlight, macro and high quality high speed video at 120 fps (slow motion).
