I'm surprised no one mentioned the formaldehyde warning on the back of the bookshelf. It stinks a lot and since I bought it to use in my bedroom I have to air it in the back room for a while. (Wish I had a screened porch.) Pretty easy to assemble. I like that everything is made of wood, but be warned: wood is very soft. This is fine for screwing (especially since there are no holes for screws) but one wrong move with a hammer and you've got a dent. The wood pieces weren't in perfect condition, but most of the imperfections were on the "wrong side" of the boards and weren't visible in the finished shelf. Once assembled I like the design, it feels solid and I think after airing I'll be happy with it. I've got a bit of a chemical headache now!
