I love the idea behind these skins. It dilutes the characteristic monotony of white AirPods and gives them some personality. I failed the first try, but luckily there were two. The left one worked fine at first, but something went wrong with the right one, it was stuck in the case and wouldn't load either. I put her down and almost gave up. Then I thought why not try again. So the second application was better because both were charging, but the right one was still hanging in the charging case. I also didn't level the counter area perfectly, which worries my perfectionist mind. But they are great! I will definitely be changing colors and designs in the future and I'm sure my application technique will only get better.
